[SOLD] The first customers sit down at an Italian restaurant in Munich at the beginning of a hot August evening. This painting is 20 x 15 cm, oil on canvas.
20 x 20 cm, oil on canvas. [SOLD] When I came back to this painting today, I expected it to need more work, but looking at it with fresh eyes I decided I liked its messiness. So I’m leaving it alone, and devouring the subjects for lunch.
SOLD I’m no stranger to using fresh produce as my still-life subjects, but for some reason painting this lovely head of radicchio seemed rather, well, silly. I blame the name.
This week I’m playing around with palette-knife painting. I just love the textures that come out of applying thick blobs of paint via palette knife.
