I started this little painting months ago and then forgot about it. Today I picked it back up and decided to start playing with it again. Working on it reminds me how much I like the view from my studio window, and how lucky I am to have such a wonderful studio to paint in. ๐
wow – you are a globe trotter! Yes, indeed, you are lucky to have such a lovely studio view. Wonderful painting! (I am over from AEM)
Lovely painting, interesting life!
have you considered marketing these during the “high tourist” season? i think these would sell wonderfully….
These are all so fun! Love your use of colour & the perspective . . . what a great studio! Cheers
Deborah – Definitely a good idea! The key would be getting into some sort of space where tourists would encounter my work. For now I’m focusing on building up a large enough body of work to be able to start approaching galleries, etc. They probably won’t be too impressed when I show up with only 4 Munich paintings under my belt. ๐
i am sending you a coupla links – http://www.womanmadegallery.com is in chicago. REALLY like their intent and ethnics and they have great themes for their “calls for art”.
was there four years ago for an exhibition i was involved in. the chicago marathon was going on – i have never seen so much emotion flowing by – it was astounding. we were in the “gay section” of town and the side shows that are staged for the runners and observers were fanastic! also, look at rhondaschallerchelsea.com – i like the themes they pick for the juried shows – the downfall is they charge 50% commission…. but it’s NYC – you can charge more. hey, ANYTHING i can send you for links – let me know…..
i am looking forward to an online portfolio – never been to germany so the street scenes are a treat!
Thanks so much for the links, Deborah! I will check them out. I tend to get frazzled because I don’t know where to start when it comes to researching galleries, so I really appreciate your suggestions.
