I’m no stranger to using fresh produce as my still-life subjects, but for some reason painting this lovely head of radicchio seemed rather, well, silly.
I blame the name.

I love it, Jules π It makes me happy! I want it in my kitchen!
Aw, thanks! I bet it would look lovely in your kitchen.
It’s wonderful! I love it too.
Your paintings are beautiful. I really like this still life. Radicchio has always been a favorite of mine!
@Chris & @Julie – thanks so much! Your comments made my day.
Totally rad radicchio! You crack me up about food art. I try to get away from that myself, but can’t… I posted garlic for CED this week, sheesh. You & I, bet we’d make one hell of a salad. On our walls. HA!
Mmmm… wall salad.
Can I buy this???? I love it Jul! Who would have thought…a radicchio? Although I love that word too π
@Jen – Of course! All my art is for sale in theory, although I haven’t created the web interface for sales yet. I’ll make sure you get first look on this one. π
I just wanted to say I got my radicchio and I love the painting!!! The online purchasing process was excellent too- so professional.
Thanks for holding it for me!
π
So glad you like it!
