Autumn leaves, 18 x 24 cm, oil on canvas board, Β©2011 Julie Galante. [SOLD]
Today I did something horribly cheesy: I walked around my neighborhood collecting pretty leaves. I figured they would make a nice still life subject.
November is Art Every Day Month! I’ll be posting a new small painting here each and every day.Β
I dont care if it is cheesy, that is a lovely result!
What beautiful texture. Love this piece.
Stay inspired!
WOW! Love the texture and luminosity. Good luck with AEDM π
I love the texture and collecting leaves is wonderful – not cheesy by any means! π
what a stunning study! Love the colors and the texture.
Thanks, guys! I’m really digging the colors of the leaves. I might have to put them in a couple more paintings before they shrivel up.
Walking around picking up leaves is one of my favorite, cheesy autumn activities! The painting turned out gorgeous. I love the movement and drama. It is the perfect essence of a fall day.
Bravo! No cheese–just gorgeous saturated color and texture.
Gorgeous colors and I love the texture. π
Apparently, I like cheesy.
There is such depth & texture in your leaves! Wow!
Beautiful! I love the colours, texture and those veins!

Fantastic (I love cheese)
A beautiful piece. Not cheesy at all! We are so blessed here in Munich with the beautiful autumn colours, you can’t help but want to hang on to them (I’m planning to paint the yellow tree outside my window today).
Thanks, all! I love the interaction that comes with Art Every Day Month. My little art blog isn’t used to so much attention!
